Mission
To rescue and nurture homeless dogs of all breeds and help them find loving homes.
Vision
We believe that every dog has the right to enjoy a life of love. Our vision is a no-kill future with no pet killed for lack of shelter space or treatable medical condition. As long as they have quality of life, our rare "Keepers" live out their lives at the Rescue Ranch Sanctuary.
Who Are We?
Rescue Ranch is a no-kill dog rescue and shelter located in far-northern California. We operate two facilities in Siskiyou County, CA, near the Oregon border.
We were formally etablished as a 501(c)(3) non-profit dog rescue organization in the year 2000. We positively impact the lives of an estimated 2000 or more dogs every year! Our life-saving work includes:
- Rescuing and rehoming hundreds of homeless dogs annually
- Partnering closely with local shelters to maintain our county's no-kill status
- Spay/neuter assistance to local families
- High-cost and emergency medical assistance to community dogs via no-interest loans
- Rescue transport to partner rescues
- Free pet food bank and training advice
- Evacuation assistance and shelter for community dogs during emergencies such as wildfires.
Our funding comes from donations, benefactors, local businesses, grants, and proceeds from the Rescue Ranch Thrift Store also support our work. We do not receive funding from any State, County or City agencies.
