Protect Your Pet and Other Dogs
Vaccinations keep your dog (and others) safe wherever they come into contact with other animals. They're also required if you should choose to board your dog or attend puppy school. And keeping your pet's vaccinations current helps you stay prepared for emergency situations including evacuation due to wildfire.

Parvovirus & distemper
Parvovirus and distemper are highly contagious and deadly. Parvo is spread through contact with other dogs, wild animals, and even the grass and soil. Even in mild cases, a sick dog will shed the virus and put others at risk.
Puppies and young dogs are particularly susceptible, but even adult dogs can become critically ill. Puppies should receive their first shots at 5 or 6 weeks of age, followed by at least two booster shots.

Bordetella
The bordatella vaccine protects your dog against kennel cough, which is similar to a canine version of the common cold. Kennel cough is uncomfortable and can be quite severe as well as lead to other complications, infections, etc. Most boarding facilities require a vaccine to protect against kennel cough.

Rabies
Rabies is deadly to both animals and humans. A vaccine against rabies is required by law for all dogs over 4 months of age. Only a licensed veterinarian can administer the rabies vaccine. Ask our staff about vaccination clinics being conducted in the area.
