Giving Tuesday was created in 2012, to inspire generosity. It started in New York, but now it is an independent nonprofit and a global movement. Every year, on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, millions of people around the world participate in radical giving of all kinds.
If you love dogs and want to give to a community-oriented organization, look no further than Rescue Ranch. This year, there are two ways you can support Rescue Ranch on November 30.
1. Shop at the Rescue Ranch Thrift Store on November 30 and Triple Your Support!
Whenever you shop at the Rescue Ranch Thrift Store, your purchases support our mission. On November 30, you can triple your support thanks to two generous donors who have offered to match all purchases for that day.
The pet-friendly Rescue Ranch Thrift Store is staffed by a wonderful team of devoted volunteers who are always happy to assist visitors.
The inventory is always changing and constantly being renewed. You’ll find an amazing variety of merchandise, from books and toys to furniture, clothing, and so much more. And for your holiday shopping, there’s a great selection of Christmas ornaments, lights, garlands, wreaths and seasonal wares.
So whether you’re a regular or a brand new visitor to the store, November 30 is the perfect day to stop by for a visit. It’ll be a fun outing for the whole family, and you’ll be helping Rescue Ranch dogs at the same time!

2. Donate to Rescue Ranch through the North State Giving Tuesday Portal
In our region, the Community Foundation of the North State hosts North State Giving Tuesday. We’re grateful to be among the over 180 nonprofits participating this year.
The online networking and giving event provides nonprofit organizations the opportunity to gain exposure and start relationships with new donors, and for the people in Shasta, Siskiyou, and Tehama counties to come together to raise as much money as possible for participating organizations within a 14 -hour period.
The portal is open now for early giving, so you can donate now. It will be accessible up through Giving Tuesday. The main online event will take place taking on November 30th from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. PST.
