I have been fostering Shadow since November. Someone had thrown her in a field and it took my brother 5 months to catch her because she was so scared. It was never supposed to be forever as I have to travel a lot and she does not do well alone. She is the sweetest dog, great with all animals, although she can be scared of other dogs at first (she tries to hide and will whine).
She really needs to be with either someone who wants to take a dog with them everywhere they go, or someone with other dogs as she does not do well alone. She has terrible separation anxiety. She hasn’t wrecked my house when she’s alone other than the front door has been all scratched to pieces by her trying to get out. But when I get home she’s in a panic for about 30-60 minutes. She follows me everywhere I go. Even if my kids are home, she wants only me so she will whine and bark the entire time I’m gone. She is so sweet and kind, but she needs someone who has the time to unpack her trauma.
