Kkaleesi is an incredible 7-year-old American Akita that we have been fostering for a few weeks. She has a heart of gold. Khaleesi is well-socialized in public. We take her everywhere she is allowed to go. Khaleesi is stunning and gets lots of attention when we are out and she loves it.
She’s great with men, women and children. But not good with other dogs or livestock. I can’t answer to whether she is good with cats or not. We have passed several cats on walks and she has not reacted to them being very near to her. She is a sweet and very smart girl. Not food aggressive. I can take her food away, put my hand in her bowl and even take food out of her mouth.
Khaleesi loves to play and run around the yard. Her zoomies are adorable. She is great at communicating her wants, needs, likes and dislikes. Khaleesi wants to be around her humans. She doesn’t have separation anxiety just LOVES her people. Sleeping at the foot of the bed is her favorite. Khaleesi loves car rides, walks, hikes, jumping in the creek, cuddles and as many belly rubs as you are willing to give. Khaleesi doesn’t pull when walking on a leash or harness.
She has an easy-going, roll with it attitude. She is not a barker and at 74 lbs she is surprisingly quiet. She is a dream dog for a single person or family that truly wants a devoted side kick for life.
