PLEASE HELP US FIND NALA HER FOREVER HOME ❤️🐾
Nala is an almost 2-year-old female dog, around 75 lbs, who we rescued when she was only about 4–5 months old. We found her running wild in the mountains—abandoned, extremely thin, and covered in fleas and ticks. We couldn’t leave her, so we brought her home and gave her the love and care she desperately needed.
We think she may be part Lab, part Pit and possibly something else. We just ordered a DNA test, so stay tuned! 😊
Nala is truly a lover and a people pleaser. She may be 75 lbs, but she is convinced she’s a lap dog. 😂 She LOVES to snuggle, be close to her people and soak up attention.
She is incredibly smart and is always trying to figure out what you want from her. She tries so hard to get it right, which makes her very trainable. She has already had some training and would thrive with someone who enjoys working with an active, intelligent dog.
Nala currently lives with our male Australian Shepherd, and they are best buds. However, we want to be completely transparent that Nala can be aggressive with female dogs, so she should not be placed in a home with another female dog. Her ideal home would be as the only dog or with a compatible male dog. We would want her to meet any resident male dog first to make sure they’re a good fit.
Nala has a lot of energy and would LOVE a home with space to run and play—a ranch, property with a large yard, or an active family who is home more and can give her the exercise and attention she deserves. She’s athletic, eager to learn, and we think she could also make a great hunting or outdoor adventure dog.
She is spayed and up to date on all of her vaccines.
We have contacted more than a dozen rescues, and unfortunately they are all full. We saved Nala because she needed us, but we also know we can’t give her the time, attention and active life she deserves long-term. We want more for her.
This has been incredibly hard because she is an amazing dog and we love her. We aren’t looking to simply “get rid of” Nala. We will do everything we can to make sure she goes to the right home—one where she will be loved, exercised, snuggled and given the attention she needs to thrive.
