In winter, we found these 2 dogs on Siskiyou summit near Highway 66 & I-5, at night and the start of another winter storm in January.
Both looked desperate and, once we evaluated their situation, they were in dire need; one barely walking, with many open wounds and grass seed abscess on multiple (almost all) parts of thier body and limbs.
After home care overnight, (water, food and warmth) and emergency vet help the next day, they got released to us for healing.
Today, they’re doing great and ready for a better new home.
We fostered them since, and both have healed well.
They are well mannered, eager to learn, and have some command and crate training established.
These 2 need more than I have to offer. They love to run, and want more work / training to do than I have time and/or space.
They deserve a better, more sustainable, enjoyable, and functional situation.
