Sweet Marshall is such a special boy! This amazing young dog has overcome a rough beginning and his best years are before him. Marshall was neglected and dumped when he was still a pup. Fortunately, good samaritans helped us bring him to the safety of the Ranch, where he’s gradually learned to trust humans. After what he’s been through, it’s not surprising that this has been a gradual process. Thankfully, Marshall is a gentle boy with a heart of gold and responds readily to kindness. If you have room in your heart for a dog who needs a little extra love, you’ll be rewarded with a companionship you will never forget!
Marshall is an easy-going, friendly, submissive boy with other dogs. He gets along well with both male and female canines and enjoys romping in play groups. He’s happy to follow the lead of a more confident dog, and would thrive in a multi-dog household. In fact, another dog would greatly help him settle in and learns the ropes of being a house dog. Though he’s nervous in new situations, Marshall knows how to walk on leash and enjoys his walks once he’s familiar with the route. He’s skittish with strangers, but he loves to come up to staff for treats and ear scratches. Once you’ve earned his trust he really enjoys his cuddles. With the progress he’s already made we have no doubt he’ll progress quickly in a stable home environment.
