We Love Great Adoption Events! Because Every Rescue Dog Deserves A Chance.

On Saturday, June 19, 2021, Rescue Ranch attended the Red Dog Pet Supply Grand Opening event in Jacksonville, OR. We were glad to be on hand with five adult Rescue Ranch dogs and one puppy. All of our dogs were ready and waiting to find a loving, forever home.

A wonderful venue for people and dogs

As soon as we arrived, we knew that it was going to be a great event. We had brought our own, but Red Dog Pet Supply had thoughtfully provided pop-up canopies for the participants. The grounds were excellent and we felt totally welcome. Together with other pet-related nonprofits and suppliers, we set up on the spacious grassy area behind the brand new store.  It was an ideal venue, so much cooler than hot asphalt and so much easier on the paws and feet. We were in for a wonderful day.

The Grand Opening was a family event. Everyone was having a great time, including the kids who were all busy petting dogs or playing in the inflatable bounce house. We had a steady flow of visitors to our booth throughout the day, and our dogs were on their best behavior when came to meeting and greeting the public.

Adoptions make a great event even better!

A highlight of the event was the ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Mayor Donna Bowen and the president of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce, Robert Roos. A small crowd gathered in front of the store to enjoy the moment.

To top off the day, three of our dogs , the puppy and two adults, were adopted! Two went home from the event, and the third one the very next day from the ranch in Yreka!  YAY! Now that’s what we call a successful event!

Thank you Red Dog Pet Supply and Rescue Ranch volunteers

We want to thank Red Dog Pet Supply owners Tim Shreeve and Sara Shreeve, for their genuine commitment to animal rescue. Rescue Ranch appreciates it and we look forward to opportunities for future collaboration.

Last but not least, we’d like to thank two amazing volunteers, Eric Anderson and Maribel Biskeborne, who came out to Jacksonville to help  Rescue Ranch staff with the event. Volunteers are the backbone of our organization and we can never thank them enough for everything they do.

Remember you don’t have to wait till the next event to meet your future four-legged companion. Rescue Ranch is open to the public seven days a week, from 12 – 4pm.
