Hi there, I’m Cosmo! I’m a handsome 2 year old pit & black lab mix with brains, an eagerness to please, and an adorable face. I’m crate trained and potty trained and you can trust me home alone – I know the difference between my toys and your toys and I’ll be thrilled to go outside for a sniff and potty break once you’ve returned. I can sit, lie down, stay, drop it, hug, shake, high five (not the same as shake), and if you say “your place” I’ll head on over and lie down in my crate. I love playing tug-o-war, destuffing my toys, eating ice cubes, and would be thrilled to play fetch before sitting on your feet or cuddling together at the end of the day.
I’m fixed, up-to-date on my shots, and the doc says I’m a healthy, athletic boy.
While I’m great inside the house I am timid of the outside world. I’m nervous on leash, and in the car, and am reactive towards other dogs and people in these settings. I get along great with my neighbor dog but other dogs can overwhelm me and lead me to overreact. As such, I’m not a dog park dog and would thrive in a home with a large backyard/large property where I can play fetch, get plenty of exercise, and don’t have to go for walks. My humans don’t have a big enough yard for me and will be moving shortly. I’d love new siblings but would want to meet them first to make sure it’s a great fit. I’m great with adults and older teenagers but have too much energy for young kids. If you’re looking for an adorable guy to bond with and have a home with a big yard, let’s meet!
