Sweet dog Roper in need of new home.

We need to find a loving home/foster for our beautiful rescue dog Roper. He’s a 5-year old Blue Heeler, neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on all of his vaccines living in Chico, CA. He’s about 55 pounds, but thinks he’s a lap dog. He is a mellow, loving, smart and a well-behaved pup. He’s handsome with soulful eyes, a bit on the clumsy side and has impeccable manners. He likes to show us all of the tricks he knows- sit, shake, down, drop it. He’s house trained and crate trained, and loves car rides. One morning, we found him outside talking to the birds. He grabbed his squeaky toy and looked up in the sky/ every time a bird would chirp he would squeak in response. Most of all, he LOVES our kids (9 and 12) and they LOVE him. We are truly devastated that we can’t keep him. He would love to be in a home with a family that can spend a lot of time with him. A backyard with room to romp around, play fetch, smell the grass, and squeak at the birds would be amazing. He is truly a one-of-a-kind dog and we are crushed to have to let him go.
