About Alex:
Alex is a unique mix with a joyful and playful character. His personality and instinct is that of a guard dog. He is very loyal and protective of his people. He is a very strong dog while remaining very gentle with his companions. He is very well behaved and responds to commands promptly. Alex has a strong sense to keep his pack safe and will bark at a stranger approaching the door. Vigilance needs to be employed when Alex meets someone new but once he knows the person is safe he is very receptive and loving. He is house broken and spends most of his time in doors. He currently lives on a property with a large back yard. He has a lean build but would benefit from a bit more exercise as he has gotten a bit rounder over the past year. He is healthy and is up to date with all of his medical requirements. We have all of his veterinary records. While Alex behaves well around people when he is out in public, he can be get very protective and aggressive towards other dogs and other animals. His strength requires a firm hold. He has had combative engagements with cats and other small animals that have found themselves in the backyard. Alex is a great dog and a loving dog that deserves a new home.
