Penny is a nine year old uniquely charactered purebred English Bull Terrier that I have loved and cared for all her life. She is loving, gentle, wonderful with children, agreeable to other dogs, agreeable to cats, good for a bath and an overall really silly dog. For realz!

PENNY IS DEAF and has been since birth. The little stinker has a way of fooling people at first, but I assure you, she is deaf. Penny has been trained to respond to certain hand movements, a few sign commands and alot of rapid pointing. Lol….

Due to an unavoidable and necessary relocation of our family to The Dalles, we no longer have an appropriate living situation for her. I do not take rehoming her lightly and it makes my heart very heavy to do this. Penny needs to be able to go in and out freely to a secure yard (this is what she is used to) or have a very dedicated human taking her out several times a day on leash. Remember, Penny cannot hear “come” or “good girl”. You have to physically get her attention and then direct her to what you want using your hands… This takes commitment.

Penny is not a guard dog (again, she can’t hear) and will unknowingly let anyone come on in and then be so surprised and delighted to see visitors when she finally wakes up or comes into view of them. Penny is not and has never been vicious, aggressive or in any way threatening to a human or another animal. While eating – you can freely touch her food, touch her body, physically mess with her food, push her away from her food, even my babies playing with her mouth while she’s eating and has never displayed any unwanted behavior.

Currently Penny has been experiencing a rash (at least an itching) that I am certain will resolve itself once she acclimates to The Dalles environment. Penny did not have any skin issues until we moved to Ocean Shores, WA (where we just moved from) and I believe now that she has left that climate the issue will go away as well.

Penny does alot of laying around, usually finding a warm spot in the sun. Be careful, her tummy can sunburn. She is up for walks and is excellent on a leash. She will eat anything! Bananas, strawberries, apple skin, blueberries, and stuff she shouldn’t…

I am invested in finding Penny the appropriate home that will suit her needs.
