Woody is a 1-year-old loving, eager-to-please, and intelligent lab/german shepherd mutt. He spent the first year of his life being fostered by two loving families after being found abandoned at 4 weeks old, and is now ready for his forever home!
Woody adores other dogs and has lived before with a cat peacefully. He will do anything for food and praise. He is smart and loves to show off his tricks: sit, stay, shake, lie down, relax, place, rollover, and giving a kiss on the cheek. (Come and fetch are … works in progress.) He’s fully potty and crate trained, and can be left out in the home for several hours during the day. His favorite activities are sitting on the couch by his people eating a yak chew, going to doggy daycare, and sniffing bushes on walks.
Woody is still learning to manage his anxiety. Woody can bark or even growl if his people or home are approached by strangers, so his ideal home is one with a single person or couple who are willing to work with him on managing his anxiety around new people. He would love to live with another dog, but is also happy to be the center of attention and get his energy out at a dog park.
If you want a adoring, protective, well-trained dog and don’t mind buying copious amounts of treats, Woody is a perfect addition to your family.
