Dogs can sniff and breathe at the same time!

Dogs love to sniff. Sometimes they sniff so much, you might wonder if they’ll ever come up for air. Truth is, they don’t have to. Their noses are structured so that they can ponder a scent and work out what it is while air continues to move freely in and out of their lungs. That’s a pretty handy trick escpeially when you have a 300 million olfactory receptors and a whole world to smell!
