Australian Cattle Dogs are born with an all-white coat. It is a trait inherited from their Dalmatian ancestors. By six weeks old, their unusual patterning becomes quite visible. The breed originated as a cross between domesticated dingoes, collies and kelpies. Dalmatians were later added to improve their disposition towards horses and instill a strong devotion to humans.
