Reading to Rescue Pups & Film Screening!
November 16 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Join Rescue Ranch at the Yreka Public Library
for a special Reading to Rescue Pups & Film Screening!
Rescue Ranch is back at the Yreka Library once again for our ever-popular Reading to Rescue Pups event–plus a special film screening party! Come on over and settle in with a rescue pup for an afternoon of reading AND a special double-feature documentary.
The film screening will feature two Shasta Stories Documentaries highlighting Siskiyou County lore:
- Byrds of a Feather: the story of Charlie Byrd, California’s first Black sheriff from Lincoln Heights in Weed
- The Wild Ones: untamed stories of Hornbrook’s wild residents and how they band together
Rescue Ranch will bring six adorable, well-mannered, family-friendly puppies who would love to listen to a story and watch a film.
Kids love this event! Children can pick out a book from the library to read or bring a favorite of their own. Our puppies enjoy soaking up the attention, and story reading is calming for both pups and kids. ๐

We hope to see you there!
