Miss Rosie is one of our hidden gems, a true house hippo in a shaggy coat. Sweet Rosie had quite the rough start in life: she was living on the lam until rescuers were able to catch her and her pups. Since coming to us she’s been enjoying the laid-back life at our Sanctuary, hanging out with her special needs companion Aslan and dreaming of a forever home. Gentle Rosie might start out a bit on the shy side. But as soon as you take her for a walk she lights up like a firefly. In fact, she’s one of the nicest walkers we’ve ever had, the perfect companion for a peaceful stroll. She simply loves to amble along, enjoying the scenery. Rosie has a heart of gold and loves to be the center of attention. She’s smart and personable, pleasantly affectionate but never clingy. You’ll know she’s chosen you if she jumps up to give you a full-body hug! Rosie is selective with other dogs but gets along with submissive males and will keep younger pups in line. She’d make a wonderful companion for an active senior citizen or anyone looking for a quiet, calm, easy care companion.
