Olive is a loving girl who is still searching for her perfect home. She’s a happy, energetic dog who loves people. Sadly, many visitors pass by her kennel without a second look. It’s really too bad, because we believe that she will be a wonderful, loyal companion to the right adopter.
This beautiful five-year-old American bulldog mix, was raised in the Rescue Ranch puppy foster program. Unfortunately, she came back to us after her adoption didn’t work out. Then she was returned twice more. You’d think that these experiences would have broken Olive’s heart. Not at all! She still greets staff and visitors with a wag of her long tail.
The truth is that Olive is an affectionate girl who loves every person she meets! She’s a star at Rescue Ranch adoption events because she’s so happy to be around humans. She is an expert cuddler who will gladly keep you company during a movie or two – as long as you don’t mind her snoring! Olive is house-trained, loves treats, and would make a great family dog in a home with older children.
When it comes to other pets, Olive will do best as an only child. She is highly dog selective and not a fan of cats or livestock (and the feeling is mutual).
Though she’s in her middle years, she still requires plenty of exercise. Like many high-energy dog, if she gets bored, she can get a little destructive. She’d make a fantastic hiking buddy!
Her ideal home environment would include a large, securely fenced yard where she can run and play.
