Yoki is a stunning pocket pittie, compact and buff. He packs a lot of dog in a small space! Though he’s past his puppy years, he still has a plenty of energy. He’s looking for an active family who can shower him with love and attention. If you want a dog who will be chill indoors and rough and tumble outside, Yoki’s your boy!
First and foremost, Yoki craves human interaction. He’s not happy being alone and would not be a good choice for a family who spends long hours away from home. He wants to be in the very center of a loving family circle, with the more humans to love on him the better! We’ve heard from a previous adopter that Yoki is a loving dog, incredibly gentle with young children, and a well-mannered lad inside the home.
Training-wise, Yoki is smart, attentive, and eager to please. He knows how to walk on leash but could use a few reminders to not pull. He can “Sit” for treats and give you his paw. Though he is a bit shy when first meeting new folks, he warms up very quickly and then he’s happy to lean into you for hugs and cuddles. He’s a bit on the anxious side and needs plenty of reassurance and confident leadership. Yoki can tolerate other dogs but might do best as an only dog in the home. As always, a meet and greet is required to make sure it is a good fit for all.
