Meet Tucker

Tucker 5

Tucker is a senior coon hound mix who  came in with a severely broken upper right hind leg. He required surgery, pins and screws, and months of healing. Thanks to Kitu’s Fund, our donation supported high-cost veretrinary treatment program, he obtained the care he needed. Today he is a happy, healthy hound. All he needs is a family to make his life complete.

Tucker was one of the dogs Rescue Ranch volunteers took to the Siskiyou Golden Fair last week. He did great!  He enjoyed the ride to and from the event,  walked well on leash, and seemed happy to be at the fair. He is an easy-going, well-socialized dog and was comfortable with the crowd. Open and friendly,  he greeted strangers, even accepted some hugs. He was patient, tolerant, and good with kids.

If you’re looking for a mellow, mature, gentle dog who will keep you company and enjoy going for walks as well as hanging out on the couch, Tucker could be the dog for you!

Walk-ins are welcome, but please check our hours before coming to visit. If you’re coming from a long way to meet a specific dog, we encourage you to call us first to be sure they’re available and on site when you visit. Phone: (530) 842-0829.
