Toni and her siblings spent the first several months of their life without much human contact. She came to us as a wary older puppy and has had to work hard to make up for missing those first critical months of socialization. Silly Toni is still cautious with new people. But we know her well and we’re confident that she will flourish in the right home. Toni loves to bluff it out, but at heart she’s an affectionate gal. Given time and kindness, she’ll come up for snacks. She’s even learned to accept the leash and absolutely LOVES her walks!
Naturally alert and ready to sound the alarm, Toni makes an excellent watchdog. Her goofy side really comes out when she’s playing with other dogs. She’d thrive in a home with another dog or two to show her how fun a dog’s life can be. In the summer, Toni enjoys splashing in her puppy pool. She’s not demanding but she does need a securely fenced yard to keep her safe.
