Renegade is one of our longest-time residents. This staff favorite has been with us for over five years now and is still waiting for a forever home. Some might call that bad luck but Renegade doesn’t let it get him down. He’s as cheerful and eager to enjoy life as ever. However, the years are catching up on him and more than anything, we want to find him a porch to lie on where he can watch the sun set. Could it be yours?
In his time, Renegade has been a boat dog and even an airplane copilot. He’s smart, confident, adaptable, and up for anything. He knows his basics: he’s house-trained, walks well on leash and will Sit for treats. Fetch is his game–he’ll even chase a ball by himself if no-one is there to throw it for him. In summer, he loves a game of water tag and soaking in the pool. Always a lively dog, Renegade is mellower than he used to be and happy to chew on a toy while the humans are busy.
Renegade’s would love to have space to play, whether that’s the local dog park or in his own backyard. He enjoys long walks and hikes and still has energy for outdoor adventures. He might enjoy a canine companion–he has gotten along well with females in the past. He’s naturally protective but enjoys meeting new people on leash. He’ll do best in a home with adults or teens.
