This happy-go-lucky little pittie is like the energizer bunny: she just keeps on going! Whatever Ramona does, she does with 150 percent commitment. In many ways she has the classic pittie temperament: she’s sassy, smart, eager, and friendly. Sadly, she’s had her share of unsuccessful adoptions and has now been waiting at our shelter for more than 4 years. Ramona has so much love to share! She just needs a family who will give her an outlet for her boundless energy. In the right hands, she’ll be an all-star companion!
Ramona is a people-lover through and through. She loves everybody she meets, adores attention, and could cuddle all day long. She’d thrive with a work-from-home adopter who can keep her busy and give her some structure. Ramona has home experience but doesn’t do well cooped up. She needs plenty of exercise and a securely fenced yard where she can run and play without getting into trouble. Her favorite games are fetch and playing with the hose–she also loves to ride the ATV and enjoys a nice cold soak on a hot day. Ramona has solid leash manners and knows her basics. She’s actually very responsive to her handler and enjoys her training sessions.
Ramona’s biggest quirk is her reactivity to other dogs. She must be the only pet in her home, and a dog-savvy handler is recommended for leashed adventures.
