Sweet Papaya would be a wonderful choice for a quiet adopter simply looking for calm companionship. Since she’s grown up at the shelter, she doesn’t have much “real world” experience. This makes her a bit timid in new situations, but all she needs is some patience, practice, and time to adjust. Papaya is most comfortable around women but will thrive in any gentle, low-stress family. She’s extremely well socialized with other dogs and gets along especially well with confident males. She’d love to have another dog to keep her company, or at the very least share regular playdates with a doggy friend. Papaya enjoys her on-leash walks, knows Sit and watches her handler closely for cues. She’s matured into a wonderful, medium-energy companion who’s ready to share all of life’s adventures.
