Mabel is very timid with new folks but always gentle. Since coming to the Ranch she’s learned to walk on leash and knows Sit. If you’re looking for a walking or jogging companion, Mabel’s your gal! Her foster mom says she loves her walks and would enjoy more exercise. Mabel is doing well in a home environment and is very smart. She loves peanut butter, collagen chews, and destroying “indestructible” dog toys. Overall she’s a quiet dog, but she’ll alert you to intruders and defend her home if she needs to. She needs time to gain trust around new people, so a calm home without a lot of visitors would be her cup of tea.
Mabel knows how to ride in the car and loves to cuddle with her foster mom every morning. She’ll be happiest in the country away from city sounds, and she’ll need a secure fence to keep her safe. She’s selective with other dogs but can tolerate calm males. She’s not a fussy gal: a shady yard to run in, a comfy bed, and an adopter who will help her feel safe, and she’ll share her sweet smile.
