Sweet Kona came to the Ranch after her owners were no longer able to care for her. After spending her whole life at the center of one loving family, this gentle soul is finding it a challenge to adjust to the shelter. However, little by little, she’s beginning to emerge from her shell. We know that with time and patience she will make a wonderful companion for a new family. If you’re looking for a dog who really needs your help to be all she can be, read on!
Kona is a gentle, mature dog who grew up around other dogs (large and small), kids, and even cats. Though very timid in the shelter, she has begun to warm up to staff and show her true, affectionate nature. She walks well on leash but is still too upset to show off her other obedience skills. What Kona needs is a calm, loving home and a patient family to help restore her self-confidence. We’d love to see her relax and remember how to play!
