Chappie is one of our Ranch favorites! This sweet soul didn’t have the best beginning in life, but fortunately he came to the Ranch when he was still quite young. He’s basically grown up with us ever since. After two years in our care, he’s still waiting for the right human to come along–someone who will continue to help him blossom. Chappie’s sweet nature and playful antics will keep you smiling. All he needs is a safe, loving environment where he can open up and share his silly side. Lately he’s made huge progress in his foster home and we’ve been able to learn so much more about him. He’s house-trained, crate-trained, calm indoors, and equally tolerant of both cats and other dogs. Though initially timid in new settings, he’s extremely well-mannered on leash and very eager to make friends with other pups. Other dogs absolutely love Chappie too! There’s just something about this gentle pup that fellow canines respond to. We highly recommend him to a multi-dog home.
Chappie knows his basic obedience, and responds well to both treats and praise. He’s afraid of loud noises like thunder and will need a secure fence to keep him safe.
