Meet Bobby

If you are looking to adopt an outdoorsy, easy-going, low-maintenance dog, we’d love to recommend Bobby to your attention. Bobby is a lovely, lively, classic husky looking for his second chance in life. He came to us from a shelter in Stanilaus where he was scheduled to be euthanized due to lack of space. He’s been at the Ranch for several months now, patiently waiting for the right person to notice him. Are you the adopter Bobby has been hoping for? Read on to find out!

Though at first he may come across as a bit aloof, the truth is that Bobby enjoys human companionship and affection. Let’s just say that for Bobby exploring the great outdoors is a higher priority than attending to people. This independent attitude makes him a very easy dog to care for. As long as he has regular exercise, a securely fenced yard where he can roam free, a comfortable bed, and plenty of good food, he will be satisfied.

Like all huskies, Bobby has plenty of energy. At four and a half years old he’s outgrown his wild puppy phase but is still in the prime of life. He’s definitely not going to be happy cooped up in an apartment or spending most of his time indoors. We think he’d make a great ranch dog or hiking buddy.

Given time and patience, we feel confident that Bobby is capable of forming a strong bond with his human. He already walks well on leash and knows how to “Sit” for treats. He is quite vocal and likes to talk to his handler. He is selective with other dogs, especially males, but might get on well with a female dog. As always, meet and greets are required to make sure it is a good fit for all involved.

What do you think? Does this goofy, handsome husky sound like your piece of pie? Then come on down to the Ranch to meet him today!

Walk-ins are welcome, but please check our hours before coming to visit. If you’re coming from a long way to meet a specific dog, we encourage you to call us first to be sure they’re available and on site when you visit. Phone: (530) 842-0829.
