Mack is many things: drop-dead gorgeous, a huge cuddle bug, and a teddy bear in dog’s clothing. But one thing he is not is a the life of the party! When it comes to humans, Mack is a classic introvert: shy, aloof, and slow to warm to strangers. Getting to know him can take time, but oh boy is it worth the effort! Those who have cracked Mack’s outer shell have come to know him as an oversized baby with a huge people-pleasing heart. To make your way to Mack’s inner circle, read on!
Mack grew up in our puppy program. Sadly, his adopters didn’t give Mack the early socialization he needed, and he came back a few months later as a very anxious teenager. Since then he’s made leaps of progress and he’s more than ready for a forever family. Mack’s ideal home includes:
- An adult-only family with just one or two humans (preferably women)
- A calm, low-stress environment
- A fenced yard (4 feet is fine) where he can romp and play
- A pool–Mack loves to swim!
- A puppy friend!
Mack enjoys the company of other dogs and gets along with just about every pooch he’s ever met. He’ll thrive with a confident canine companion to help him feel secure in his new home. Mack has an independent streak but he’s very smart and knows his basics: he walks on leash, knows Sit and Down, and can even give you his paw. Once you’ve earned his trust, he’ll greet you like the puppy he is at heart, lean against you and even climb into your lap! He has a catlike way of rubbing against your legs and flopping over for belly rubs. His medium energy level is perfect for all kinds of low-key adventures.
With the right leader to guide him, Mack will continue to grow into an all-around outstanding companion. Call the Ranch to meet marvelous Mack today!
