If Dusty had a theme song, it would be Queen’s “Somebody to Love.” This big-hearted boy is yearning for someone–anybody–to share his enormous love! Adopted as a puppy and returned when his family fell on hard times, poor Dusty doesn’t know why his life was turned upside down. Day after day he’s waiting at the fence, hoping for someone to leash him up and bring him home. Could you be that special somebody Dusty has been waiting for?
From the tip of his wagging tail to his soft nose, Dusty is the ultimate big friendly dog. He never meets a stranger and is the best friend you didn’t know you need. He was given a solid foundation in the basics and though he’s a little amped up in the shelter environment, he’s still quick to respond and eager to please. Once he’s had a couple of minutes to settle, Dusty walks nicely on leash. He knows Sit and Down and with his people-focused personality, further training will be a breeze.
Dusty is the kind of dog who will adapt to just about any lifestyle, from a suburban neighborhood, to RVing, to running free in the country. His size and enthusiasm might be overwhelming for toddlers, but older kids should be just fine. He can be a bit choosy with other dogs but might do well with the right canine companion. Cats unknown but we are happy to test for serious inquiries.
