We’re not sure why Duke has been overlooked so long–this pup truly has it all. He greets everyone with a wagging tail and a huge grin. In fact, Duke has never met a human he didn’t like! If you’re looking for a friendly, social pup who will schmooze with all your visitors, Duke is your boy! He’s happiest front and center. And when you get a Duke greeting, you don’t get a small piece of love: he’s all in, right in your face or preferably your lap!
Good-natured and cheerful, Duke is happy to demonstrate Sit and Down for treats and praise. He walks well on leash though he needs reminders not to pull–after all, the world is a big place and there’s so much to explore. Duke is also thoroughly socialized with other dogs. He tends to come on a little strong with males (there’s only one Duke, can you blame him?) but gets along very well with most females. He’d enjoy a playmate, but as always a meet-and-greet is required to make sure it’s a good fit. Kids should be just fine around this friendly guy. And he’s even been introduced to cats.
