Sweet, shy Cocoa is looking for a home with where she can learn how wonderful a dog’s life can be! We’ll never know her full story, but this gentle girl clearly had a rough beginning in life. Since coming to the Ranch she’s learned that humans can be kind. She’s made so much progress and is ready to continue in a forever family. Cocoa’s ideal home will have secure fences (she’s an escape artist), room to run, and another dog for company. In exchange, Cocoa will show you that the best relationships in life are rescued!
Cocoa came to us with a litter of young pups and raised them faithfully and well. Now that her momma days are over, she’s making friends at the Sanctuary and enjoying every chance she can get to run free. Her favorite things are 1) romping with her doggy friends, and 2) soaking in her water trough. Cocoa recently had a positive experience in a foster home where she enjoyed the comforts of indoor-living and learned about potty-training. She walks on leash and has the sweetest spirit toward her caregivers. All she needs is an adopter who is willing to take it slow and celebrate each milestone along the journey to trust and confidence.
