The General Fund supports our mission to save lives
We must constantly work to ensure that we have the necessary funds if we want to continue to:
- Save more lives,
- Give our dogs and puppies the care they require,
- Provide dogs with safe sanitary living areas,
- Get dogs and puppies ready for adoption,
- Give unadoptable dogs sanctuary,
- Help moms bring healthy pups into the world,
- Ensure older dogs get the support they need,
- Train staff and volunteers,
- Provide services to the community and educational opportunities to both dogs and owners,
- Increase our reach, and
- Get the word out about responsible dog ownership
Some of the ways your donations help Rescue Ranch succeed
Equipment and heavy supplies: Kennels, privacy panels, kennel roofs, vehicles, fencing and similar heavy supplies. Right now, kennels and fencing are at the top of our list, expecially for the new Sanctuary.
Infrastructure: Typically, infrastructure involves facility improvement or expansion. One example is the work we're doing at the Sanctuary to meet the needs of our dogs. Another example includes the isolation/recovery building and mobile clinic we want for the ranch and the community.
Operational costs: Although they're often overlooked, these expenses are essential. If they're not covered, nothing gets done. Examples of operational costs include utilities, staff salaries, office supplies and equipment, phones, furniture, electronics, tools, security cameras, and more.
Emergency Relief: As the Designated Dog Evacuation Center for Siskiyou County, Rescue Ranch must be able to respond quickly. By their nature, emergencies like wildfires are unpredictable and resource intensive. We're always at our best when we're prepared and have the resources we need to act. Special Needs Dogs: We make every effort to provide the best quality of life to all of our charges, including dogs with special needs. These include animals with physical or mental challenges, pregnant dogs, puppies, and elderly dogs.
Kitu’s Fund: A fund created to cover emergency and high-cost veterinary expenses. It has the dual purpose of serving ranch dogs and community dogs who meet the criteria. Click here to learn more about Kitu’s Fund.
