Adam’s father passed away and we took his dog Desi in to our home. Desi had a rough year losing both his female doggy companion and his owner in about 6 months. Now he is living with us and he is alone as we both work. I knew this could be a win win situation. I contacted Rescue Ranch and inquired to see if they had any senior lady chihuahuas that might be a good fit. The were accepting some dogs from Merced and thought Cora might be for us. We had to wait while she was spayed and had 8 teeth removed. We knew when we finally took Des to meet her that this was going to be great. We changed Coras name to Babs. We thought this a better fit for this Little 3 pound senior Diva. Babs has been with us now for about 18 months. Her favorite things are her beds…her home cooked dog food belly rubs and car rides. Her dislikes are going outside if it’s below 80 degrees, being disturbed while sleeping and putting her butt directly on the floor (reference pics). Des passed away last month peacefully in his sleep with Babs by his side. We know she brought him happiness during the time they shared. She continues to bring happiness to us.
