My best friend and I spent the weekend down in Cottage Grove camping and after a few hours of shopping, we decided to stop and have lunch before heading back to our homes. We decided to do a picnic at the park. Well, as soon as I stepped out of the car and made eye contact with this sweet pup, I knew I wanted to know more about him. My friend got out of her car and we walked over and started talking to the amazing ladies and they explained who they were and what they were doing. They asked if I wanted to meet one of the dogs and I immediately said yes. They took Frank out of the kennel and I fell in love. We spent an hour or so there talking with them and playing with Frank. I texted my husband a picture of Frank and asked if I could have him–he asked what type of dog and then said yes, bring him home.
I was a little hesitant because we have two older cats and Frank has been a total gentleman (mostly) with them. We quickly started bringing him out and about, he is able to go to work with my husband everyday where he spends his time playing, sleeping and hanging out with his friends. Frank went to his first parade on the fourth and everyone loved meeting him, he is so gentle with the little kiddos.
The rescue really works with the dogs and they are so smart. We enrolled Frank in puppy training and he loves learning, especially the agility course. Frank is a gentle soul. We were camping a few weeks ago and a father brought over his baby to meet Frank, it was so cute. We are so grateful for this organization and the love and care they give these sweet creatures. I have been telling everyone about the group. Frank has been an amazing addition to our family and I can’t imagine life without him.
