This golden boy thinks he’s still just a puppy and he’ll climb right into your lap to prove it. Gentle, affectionate, sweet-tempered, and playful, he’s got everything it takes to make a perfect family dog.
Dorado came to us as a county stray so we don’t know anything about his past. What we do know is that he’s a lover through-and-through. Dorado feels most confident around gentle people. He’s happiest when in contact with his human, whether that’s lying beside you or giving full body hugs and kisses. He still feels a little overwhelmed in busy environments, and he’ll cling close to his human for reassurance. Dorado can be a bit shy when first meeting new dogs but he’s a sweet, social boy who loves to play. He’d be thrilled to find a home with a calm canine companion. We don’t know if he has experience with cats and kids, but we’re guessing that older children who know how to be calm should be just fine (cat tests available for serious inquiries). Dorado has a great start in the basics–he walks on leash and knows Sit and Down. With his soft, eager-to-please personality, training should be a cinch. And once he’s gained his confidence, he’ll make a stellar adventure companion.
