Rosie is a two-year old 90 lb female. I was told she is a Landseer, but she could also be a cross between a Great Pyrenees and Australian Shepard.
She is extraordinarily gentle, loves to be with people and other animals. She craves companionship and would love to be your best hiking companion! She is fully house-broken and extremely well-behaved indoors. She will stay where you put her and follows commands (sit, lie down, stay, come, wait, okay, etc.). She could easily become a therapy dog and will respond quickly to training. Her most important quality is that she wants to please.
I have been fostering her on my mini-ranch where I have two horses. She’s been great with the horses, but I was told that she wanted to play with sheep (and scared them) at her previous foster. I have not had experience with her around children or cats, but I know she absolutely loves people, and I imagine she would thrive in a family with lots of attention. She LOVES to be brushed and is a great cuddler.
She only barks when there is an intruder or something that needs attention. She is up to date on vaccines, deworming, and flea/tick treatment and has establish veterinary care in Ashland. The vet was unable to evaluate if she has been spayed.
She is a keeper, but I have a job and am away too much to raise a young dog. She has all the supplies she needs and those will go with her.
