Sweet Dasher is one of the Reindeer Pups, raised through our puppy foster program last winter. He’s also the last of his siblings to find a family. Dasher grew up at a time when we were overwhelmed with puppies, and in a sea of more confident companions, he’s been overlooked again and again. Dasher is a shy soul, easily overwhelmed by loud noises and new situations. When he feels uncertain, his tries to hunker down and pretend to be invisible. But once you’ve spent a little time gaining his confidence, he leans into your praise and looks to you for direction. He’s made progress with his training and knows how to walk on a leash. He’ll blossom in the care of a calm, encouraging adopter. Dasher loves to play with other pups his size or smaller and would thrive with another dog or two for company.
