Ideally, puppies find adopters by the time they’re 12-16 weeks old. Unfortunately, some wait longer. When this happens, temporary placement is the next best thing. Fosters who nurture adolescents, perform an essential role by laying the foundations of good citizenship through basic training and continued socialization. They provide the tools their young charges need to blossom and grow into well-adjusted, confident adults. Young dogs are ready and eager to learn, often integrating easily into the household. Would you like to help an older puppy? These Rescue Ranch pups are available for foster or adoption: Basil, Donner, Comet, and Guppy.
