This 85+ pound brindle-coated chunk of pure love is the cuddliest velvet hippo you can possibly imagine. She may look impressive at first glance, but in reality she is a gentle, goofy baby who will try to climb into your lap while you’re standing up. The very first time I met her, she gave me a bear hug and bounced up and down with sheer joy. The first thing you need to know is that Diamond has the squishiest face and jowls you can possibly imagine. Good luck keeping your hands off of those flaps. And you’ll probably be smooching her adorable noggin all day long, believe me. Second, she’s a big girl, and still a puppy. She’ll likely gain some weight as she continues to fill out. Third, she’s people-focused and eager to please. Training will be a cinch with her super-sweet temper. She already walks on leash and was happy to Sit for a treat while I snapped her pictures. Mostly she wants to be glued to a human being, though–she’s the kind of dog who will spend her life by your side. As if that wasn’t enough to make her perfect, she even gets along well with other dogs.
