Special needs, senior GSD Cleo is finally living her best life thanks to ongoing support from Kitu’s Fund. A friendly, people- loving dog, despite her difficult past, Cleo arrived in 2021 with lower back pain and mobility issues. We discovered that the injury she had sustained was hiding an underlying condition: degenerative myelopathy (DM). DM is incurable, but with medication and proper care, we knew she could still have a good life. The perfect long-term foster responded to our appeal and now Cleo is living loved and pampered in southern Oregon.
