The Basenji, a.k.a. the yodeling dog, is an ancient African hunting breed, one of the oldest in the world. Small in stature, but not in energy, these handsome, fun-loving pooches are clever and very active. Their ideal owner has a sense of humour, is patient, and is ready to spend a lot of time exercising their four-legged pal. Some trainers describe them as catlike because they take suggestions better than commands.
