After more than three years in our shelter, handsome Chipotle is one of our longest-standing residents. Recently, our lovable senior lad was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor. Chip desperately needs a foster home where he can spend his remaining days in love and comfort. Could it be yours? Read on!
Chip’s not the kind of guy who shows his feelings easily. But behind his inscrutable gaze is a loving, sensitive soul craving approval. Initially reserved with strangers, Chip warms up quickly and enjoys attention. He’s quite well-trained, walks gently on leash and is very attentive to his handler. He’s always happy to show off Sit, Down and Stay, and takes his treats very carefully.
It’s heartbreaking to see how much Chip has aged over the last few months. He’s still a peppy lad who likes to play policeman and patrol his fence line. But he’s moving more slowly now and his creaky joints need a warm, dry bed indoors. In general, Chip is a dignified, undemanding, easy-care boy. He is dog-selective and will need separate living quarters away from other household pets.
