Gigi

Gigi, Rescue Dog of the Week

Meet Gigi,

Gigi is a lovely one-and-a-half year old terrier mix who has come back to Rescue Ranch to find her perfect home. We don’t know much about her past, except that she originally came to us from a kill shelter in central California. Always popular with our visitors, Gigi’s bouncy personality and good looks attract attention wherever she goes. They even won her an adoption with a wonderful family. Unfortunately, Gigi was returned to the Ranch after she got into an altercation with another dog. We’re crossing our fingers that this year will bring this cheerful pup better luck.

Gigi is an affectionate dog who loves cuddles and giving kisses. She is sure to charm you with her eager hops and wiggles. She’s a conveniently compact size, too. At thirty pounds, Gigi is athletic enough to go for walks in the park or hike a trail, but still small enough to snuggle beside you on the sofa. She walks well on leash and is happy to work for treats, so training her should be straight-forward.

Gigi loves people and has a happy, out-going, extroverted personality. However, she is not always equally enthusiastic about meeting other dogs. She gets along well with some dogs but others… not so much. Because of this, it’s possible that Gigi may be happiest as the only dog in the household. She needs a family that will commit to introducing her properly to potential playmates. We don’t know anything about her history with cats, so we recommend caution when introducing her to feline companions.

If Gigi sounds like the perfect fit for your family, come on down to the Ranch to meet her today!  Walk-ins are welcome.  If you’re coming from a long way to meet a specific dog, we encourage you to call first: (530) 842-0829.
