Come join us this Sunday, January 21st from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the ranch (2216 Oberlin Rd, Yreka) for our first Puppy Palooza of the year. Thanks to our foster families, and our supportive community we have been able to rescue the almost overwhelming influx of puppies and pregnant moms-to-be that were abandoned in our county this fall/winter. Raised in loving families and socialized at the ranch, all of our puppies will be current on their vaccinations, and Rescue Ranch provides follow up care for the first six months including microchips and spay/neuter. Some of the puppies at the event will be ready to go home in a day or two and some still need a week or so before through all of their health checks and second vaccinations. So join us for our Puppy Palooza event at the Ranch, fill out an application or just come and join the fun and breath some puppy breath! Be prepared to have your heart stolen and be ready for a lifetime commitment.
And though we love puppies, the need in our community for low-cost spay/neuter is further highlighted by the number of abandoned dogs and puppies this fall/winter. This time last year from November-January we had 3 litters in foster. Since November the number is 11 litters! In cooperation with PetSmart Charities, Siskiyou SNIP and our own spay/neuter program we provided over 500 low-cost spay/neuters in 2017. Please, as we work with others in our community to launch an effort in 2018 to make low-cost spay/neuter a reality in Siskiyou County, we ask that you do what you can to help. Save a 100+ lives at a time with one spay or neuter!
