A true water dog at heart

Name: Roogy
Age: 10
Breed: Mutt mix

I currently live in Big springs California.

About Roogy:

Rooger came to me as a dump. A homeless individual left two dogs on my property. One was elderly and very ill and died shortly after. Rooger, we changed his name to Roogie, but he goes by both, instantly became part of the clan. We have all small dogs so that was an adjustment for them. he knows sit, wait, shake, and rollover. He is great with other dogs. He has a lot of energy and is a huge water dog. His favorite pastime is diving underwater to retrieve rocks for us and chew logs. He will swim for hours and hours despite his eyesight challenges. Fetch is his favorite land game and he loves bike rides. Though he is confirmed blind in one eye by the vet who states the optic nerve was not attached at birth he has some sight in the other eye. He is great on a leash and he is a happy-go-lucky fellow who loves car rides and trips. Sadly we are forced to rehome due to divorce and moving otherwise we would keep this big doofus. He is great with kids, other dogs, and a great watchdog though not a dangerous one, just loud if he feels we need to know what’s going on outside. Great with big dogs and littles. He loves routine and needs a loving patient-caregiver as he has so much love to give. If he could be a lap puppy he would happily. No amount of pets is too much for this lover. Only love-filled active folks full of patients would fill this great boy’s needs. Up to date on all shots and healthy. He has received yearly checkups since I acquired him 4 years ago
