Meet Dog Trainer-Debbie Raymond

“Even as a child, I was passionate about animals. When I was in high school, I started working at a fish and game rehab center where I cared for exotic animals like monkeys, snakes, otters, possums, raccoons, and birds of prey.  I went on to study dog grooming. After graduation, I spent five years specializing in poodles. Then, my career shifted to being a stay-at-home mom and child care provider.

In 1993, I began training dogs professionally at the company now known as Animal Behavioral College.  I taught group classes, in-home private lessons, and behavior modification. I was also the area manager for South L.A.-Orange County, overseeing 14 stores and their trainers.

Eleven years later, I came to southern Oregon where I have been training dogs of all types and their owners ever since. I work with dogs who are 10-weeks or older and tackle everything from simple puppy problems to complex behavioral issues.

Debbie Raymond’s Dog Training Philosophy:

I believe in using the most up-to-date scientific methods choosing force-free and fear-free techniques. I will work with you to l address your individual needs and issues. I do not use a one-size-fits-all approach, my goal is to help you develop a lifetime bond with your best friend.

What Dog-Training Clients Have to Say:

Greg and Susan, Sissy and Zoey

” We have taken both Sissy and Zoey to Debbie for training, from puppy classes to AKC Good Citizen training.  Debbie is incredible. She is very thorough and patient. She did a great job helping us understand what our dogs expected of us and what we should expect of our dogs. Both of our girls came away very well trained and we could not be happier. We highly recommend Debbie to anyone who wants a great experience with their trainer.”

Karen and Maxwell

” My experience with Debbie as a trainer/teacher has been awesome. She has a gift of teaching dogs with positive results that is not only fun but has made Maxwell very sociable in public. Debbie also teaches the family about behaviors and gives insight for successful outcomes. I highly recommend her as a 5-star trainer and have referred many of my friends to her.” —

Sheryl, Shannon, and Piper

” What an incredibly talented trainer. Debbie will not only train you and your dog, but she will become a part of your family. She truly loves training and it shows. Her techniques are unique and nothing like we’ve ever experienced. She uses real-life situations and helps troubleshoot behavioral issues and concerns. Although our pup was full of anxiety and fear, Debbie provided us with the tools and support to handle her social anxiety. Piper is now a self-assured, confident pup. Thank you so much for all your help training our family!”
