Meet Rory

Rory, Rescue Ranch Dog of the Week

If you are hoping to adopt a hardy, intelligent, outdoorsy dog with good looks to boot, then search no further! Rory is a gorgeous three-year-old Siberian husky with a fluffy white and grey coat and stunning ice blue eyes. He came to us from a shelter in Fresno where he was slated to be euthanized for lack of space. We’re so glad to be able to give him a second chance at finding his forever home.

Rory has many of the classic husky traits that makes this such a popular breed. He is very talkative and, given the chance, will gladly tell you all about his day. Rory also has the activity level typical in huskies. He will definitely need a large, securely fenced yard as well as plenty of exercise. He’d absolutely love be your companion for hikes, long walks, jogs, swims… you name it!

What is a little less common about Rory is his trainability. He’s an attentive fellow and remarkably people-focused. He knows how to walk politely on leash and “Sit.” He’ll readily learn other obedience cues as well.

Rory would make a great family dog. He is a bit choosy about potential canine playmates, but with the proper introductions, he does get along with other dogs. He might do well with a female dog. We do not know his history with cats but recommend caution when introducing Rory to small, chaseable animals.

Does Rory sound like a good fit for your family? Then come on down the Ranch to meet him today!
