Meet Robin

Robin1

If you are looking for a lot of dog in a (very) tiny package, step right up! This lively mini pin mix is as cute as a button. Robin is a busy, social little dog who first arrived at the Ranch last fall. He was adopted, only to be surrendered to us once again during the McKinney Fire. He is hoping to find his forever family before the summer ends. Could that be you? Then read on!

Robin is a bit choosy with his human beings and cautious when making new friends. Once he bonds, however, he is completely devoted and literally bounces with joy every time his person appears. He seems to prefer women to men and is not a fan of young children, so he may be happiest in an adult-only home or in a family with older children who know how to respect boundaries. Robin is a bit tense and nervous, especially in new situations. He is highly dog social and would do well in a home with other canines. We’re not sure how he feels about cats.

Though he’s well out of his puppyhood by this time, Robin hasn’t yet had much training and could use some refreshers. He does know how to walk on leash (he’ll be safest in a harness) and to “Sit” for treats. We don’t know if he is fully house-trained, so we highly recommend crate training to help him learn the rules inside the home.

If Robin tugs your heartstrings, come down to the Ranch to meet him today!

Walk-ins are welcome, but please check our hours before coming to visit. If you’re coming from a long way to meet a specific dog, we encourage you to call us first to be sure they’re available and on site when you visit. Phone: (530) 842-0829.
